Ready to take on the birds? Well, getting started in Birdland is really simple - if you know just a few tips to help you get going on the right foot... 'er wing. So, let's go through the step up tips that can help you really get flapping with your new birds.
When you first log in to Birdland on Facebook, you will start out with 1500 coins to get you going. (Each day, you will be able to collect more coins so you want to make sure that you log in daily to collect this free cash.) You then get to choose your first bird to adopt. By clicking on the shop button, you will get to choose from three different birds: a yellow budgie, a blue budgie, or a green budgie as seen in this screen shot.
You will also see that there are some great birds that you'll be able to unlock as you level up as well!
Once you adopt a bird, you get to learn the basics of taking care of it. For example, you have to feed your bird and keep them happy. You will learn how to feed your new birds and how to play with them which increases their happiness. To feed your new birds, you simply click on the food dish and then select "fill". Your birds will come over to eat and the bowl will automatically refill if it gets empty. Every time that you fill their bowls, you will gain experience points. Also, you can click on your birds and then click the little heart to love your bird. You will gain experience points from this as well as petting your birds. To pet your birds, simply click on the hand tool and then click and hold one of your birds.
But what good is a plain old cage? In Birdland, you can decorate up your cage however you want and you can even buy special themed decorations that will help you really liven up your cage. From Spring time to Night Desert scenes, Paris to Arctica, there is a great theme that will reflect your personality that you will love. There are some beautiful decorations that you can choose from - all of which will give you experience points that will help you level your cage up. Once you level, you will gain access to more birds, accessories, decorations, and themes in the game.
So what do you do when you are done decorating your cage, feeding your birds, and petting them? Well, you can easily play a game in Birdland that will land you coins, experience, and some other goodies along the way. These games are extremely fun, and you'll enjoy guiding your little birdies through these games as well as the loot that you'll gain from them.
